The Opening of the Book

I am known as Marcellae, a well respected mage in my clan. Sadly I am one of the last mages left on this earth, we have been slaughtered and exterminated, beacouse ordanary-men fear our power, and we are no-longer needed to combat the deamons. Us, the mages have destroyed the last of the beasts still awake on this earth, and sealed the portals in which they arose from. I write this book, in the fear that it will be needed one day. Our ancient knowledge needed to combat the deamons, and creatures. I will seal this book upon completion inside of a vortex that will keep it safe, until it is needed, hopefully the vortex becomes visible where it is needed for one that can open it to do so. I pray of you, whomever reads this, to take up the arcaic knowledge stored within this volume. Hopefully I will be able to include a beastiary along with documentation of majicks, skills, sources of power, and knowledge required to put the evil at bay.
To use any of the skills contained within this book, you must first preform a ritual to ask the gods to use the skill. If you are granted the privlage of their power, you will be let known, and you can begin to use the skill. At first it takes consiterable concentration, focus and engergy to preform a spell, but as you continue to cast the spell, you become better at it.
The Ritual, to prefrom the ritual, you must sketch the Octogonal Emblem of the gods to create a seal. Then you must place the emblem of the element of the spell within the Octogonal Emblem, to appeal to that God. Each element has its own God. After this you must concentrate on the desired skill and chant the words elaborated within this book. If you are sucessful your emblems will glow. It is best to make some sort of offering to the god that you are appealing to, for example. To learn a Fire skill, you may wish to burn something within the encompasment of the emblem.
To use these skills takes mental energy, the more powerful the skill, and the lesser that you know it, the more energy you need to cast it, and visa-versa. This energy will naturally recharge within you. The more skilled you become at the Majicks the more energy your mind can hold at once, and the faster it regenerates. There are also ways to regenerate your mental energies quicker.

Use of skills in the ORPG (not a chapter in the book)

In the RPG, you don't say that you are using "fire-2" or anything like that, use your imagination, kinda like "Steve dives to the ground evading the sword, sticks his hand forward and a flame shoots from his palm, scortching the knight's armor. The knight in pain..." What skills you can learn is up to me, if I don't think you are ready for one, then you can't learn it... I may add more skills, and levels to skills as we go. I may also change a few things other as well... This is a list of the spells, etc that are contained within the book.
The requirements are only to help you determine if you should be able to learn them, they are not nessasarily what I will stick to.

Learn all about different demons, creatures, and types of people, and learn how to recognise them, and their strengths/weaknesses
)) MAJICK INTERPRETER [STEVE ONLY]
The one whom finds this book, will learn this ability, and none elese can gain it. This person will take on a piece of my own soul, in order to read this book, and to be able to understand Majicks
)) Aim
Develop Better aim with your weapons (A level system is not incorperated for this, it is ever growing with your caractor, and is not closly monitored)
)) Strength
Become stronger, through exercise of course.

)) Fire 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 [5 seperate skills, must be learnt in order]
A progressive level of fire skills, level one is a simple flame, level five a virtual inferno of a fire-ball
)) Water 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 [5 seperate skills, must be learnt in order]
A progressive level of water skills, level one is a simple drawing of water and limited splash, level five is an intense downpour of water from above.
)) Ice 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 [5 seperate skills, must be learnt in order]
A progressive level of Ice/cold skills, level one is a simple chilling, level five a agressive barrage of Ice crystals.
)) Lightning 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 [5 seperate skills, must be learnt in order]
A progressive level of Electrical skills, level one is a singe zap of static power, level five is a nasty electrical explosion.
)) Inferno 1, 2, 3 [One skill, Varied skill level... Level 1 requires fire-1, level 2 requires fire-3, and level 3 requires fire-5]
A nasty continuous flame jetting from the caster's hand, the higher the level, the longer and wider the flame, and the hotter as well. Useful for filling a corrador with flame.
)) Wind 1, 2, 3 [One Skill, varied level]
Control the wind, this can't cause a tornado or hurricane, but it is still very useful.
)) Earthquake 1, 2, 3 [One skill, varied skill level...Earthquake-1 requires level 1 of fire, water, ice, and lightning. Level 3 requires level 4 of all]
Make the earth shake at your will. Level 1 is a distracting tremor, level 3 is a chaotic shake, accompinied with jets of fire and steam.
)) Tornado 1, 2, 3 [One skill, varied skill level...Tornado-1 requires level 1 of fire (or level 3 wind), water, ice and lightning. Level 3 requires level 3 of all]
Send the wind into a terrifying sprial. Level 1 is not too strong, bringing dissmay to small objects, obscureing sight, and confuseing those cought in the spiral, Level 3 is a violent windstorm capable of bringing chaos.

)) Fire-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills... 1 requires fire-1, 2 requires fire-2, 3 requires fire-4, and 4 requires fire-5]
This skill will increase your resistance to fire/heat, letting you brave the heat better, evade fire better, and counter it better. fire-defence-4 actually heals you when you take fire-damage.
)) Ice-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills... 1 requires ice-1, 2 requires ice-2, 3 requires ice-4, and 4 requires ice-5]
This skill will increase your resistance to Ice/Cold. ice-defence-4 actually heals you when you take ice-damage.
)) Water-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills... 1 requires water-1, 2 requires water-2, 3 requires water-4, 4 requires water-5]
This skill will increase your resistance to water/rain. water-defence-4 actually heals you when you take water-damage. Water-defence-4 actually heals you when you take water-damage.
)) Lightning-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills... 1 requires lightning-1, 2 requires lightning-2, 3 requires lightning-4, 4 requires lightning-5]
This skill will increase your resistance to Lightning/electracal damage. Lightning-defence-4 actially heals you when you take lightning-damage.
)) Wind-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills...1 requires wind-1 (or Tornado1), 2 requires wind-2, 3 requires wind-4, 4 requires lightning-5]
This skill will increase your resistance to Wind damage. Wind-defence-4 actually heals you when you take wind-damage
)) Shadow-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills...ask]
This skill will increase your resistance to Shadow damage. Level 4 actually heals you when you take shadow damage.
)) Light-Defence 1, 2, 3, 4 [4 seperate skills...ask]
Increases your resistance to light damage, level 4 heals you when you take light damage.
)) Ice-Shield 1, 2, 3, 4 [One skill...]
Summon a brief-lasting shield of ice to protect you.
)) Lightning-Shield 1, 2, 3, 4 [One skill...]
Summon a shield of lightning to protect you, and zap anything that passes into the electrical field.
